Summer Lovin' RaT: Day 2 - You're the One That I Want + Cover Re-do

Today's "participation discussion" is all about the summer-reads! During this time of year, it's so easy to get distracted, due to having no school and all, so light, fun reads are a MUST. Something that may be sort of cheesy, but will definitely keep my attention. I love to read contemporary romance during this time of year, and I've sort of made it my goal to only (or at least hopefully!) read contemporary during this readathon, since it's a genre that I'm usually.. intimated by (?), unless I've heard people say good things about a specific book.

RE-READ/RECOMMENDATIONS

Here are some of the contemporary books that I would re-read/recommend! Some of them are fluffy, silly, and cute, while others have a perfect balance of romance and more serious issues that will get all your feels hurting. (LOL)

TO BE READ

Now as for the books I am wanting to check out before the summer is over.. well let's just say there's A
LOT. These, along with others such as Dare You To, The Book of Broken Hearts, and Unravel Me are just a few of the many books that I hope to read before the summer is over. Believe me, I've been slacking off on my reading (THE INTERNET IS SO DISTRACTING!!), but I have about a million books I just HAVE to read. Phew, getting a little anxious just thinking about them all. On the plus side, my lack of a social life might just make it possible to read all I want, as long as the internet doesn't tempt me too much and lure me into it's endless entertainment.

COVER RE-DO
Aah, the cover re-do.. I wasn't quite sure if I was going to end up doing this or not, but I decided to open up PS and see if I could come up with anything. Nope, that didn't work. So I was like, oooh I could google a picture of a girl and start from there.. because every YA book has a girl on the cover, RIGHT? Yeah, uh, that soon turned into a disaster as well, seeing as I went kind of crazy..  As you can probably tell, it's entirely irrelevant to the actual book. In my head I though, ooh yeah clouds in the motion-blurred background, but I guess that just doesn't cut it. xD I tried though! I guess that's all that matters. :)

  1. I love your cover redo! It's so pretty and eye catching. I'm reading Golden for this read-a-thon too, but I haven't gotten to it. Hope you enjoy it ;)

  2. It's a good cover! It makes sense to highlight the 'rush' part with motion blur and it makes me feel like the world is rushing around her but someone has stopped just to look at her? :D

I've been looking to branch out into romance novels too so I'll be checking some of those titles out :)

  3. Golden is on my top TBR list too!
So far, I've only read Pushing the Limits from your list (Which I, by the way, really loved!) but North of Beautiful and Leaving Oaradise sounds really great! Thank you for sharing!

And ooh, pretty cover redo you got there! Love the blurred background so much!
