Stacking the Shelves (4) + UPDATE!

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where you show off the books you're adding to your shelves; physical or virtual, bought or borrowed.

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
Slated (Slated #1) by Teri Terry
Timepiece (Hourglass #2) by Myra McEntire
A little update now: I start school on Wednesday, which I'm both dreading and looking forward to. I procrastinated all summer long, and now bam, I have half a week to do my summer homework. I SWEAR I tried to work on it last month and seriously, nothing got finished. *cough* I'm already hating my European History class* I have notes and mini essays to write.. which really shouldn't take that long, but I have the shortest attention span and it's making it super hard! I also have a test on the first day, but hopefully I'll be able to go the library and study with a few friends on Tuesday.

For my English homework we were given a list of books we could read, and The Book Thief was on there, so I'm currently half way through that! I've been wanting to read it anyways, since I've heard so much about it. I have to write quotes and then responses to them, which is easy and I can probably do it pretty fast. In class we're writing an essay on why the book should or shouldn't be on the summer reading list.. it's practically a review in essay form! YAY.

I haven't been reading much because I've been attempting (and failing horribly) to read my AP Euro textbook and things just aren't looking so hot, but hopefully after next Wednesday, I'll be able to establish a schedule for reading and posting reviews! I'm super excited for that because I have tons and tons of books I want to read. :)

  1. I really want to read Under the Never Sky! I have been meaning to read it forever, but hopefully I get a grip of myself and read it before summer ends. :) Awesome haul you have there this week!

  2. Hahaha... You have a standalone Patrick Ness book. Maybe I'll buy that after I'm finished with Chaos Walking. And I so approve with Under the Never Sky, it's one of my most favorite books of all time. :D

In a way we're the same, I am also a student taking up my Master's degree. And I have an assignment which is due 5 hours from now. I am the biggest procrastinator I think.

Awesome haul by the way. Thanks for stopping by my STS. New follower on bloglovin and Twitter. :D

  17. Great haul Lexi :) Slated is a amazing dystopian thriller series that I adore to pieces. Under The Never Sky whilst I first had mixed emotions with was a novel I really enjoyed. Everyone raves about The Knife of Never Letting go which I sadly haven't read so I would love to read a Patrick Ness book. Thanks for stopping by my haul. Happy Reading :)
